Sonic Lights, feedback please ...

Here's one of my new songs, it's not the full version (busy signing some record deal, u know the drill)..

I love to hear some feedback on this one, it's a trance tune with some synthpop influences (at least that's what i tried to achieve anyways)
Oh, it's an unmastered version as well.

Cheers and thanx in advance,

Franklin

The way you start the beat is kind of to fast, way to fast Razz

Uhmmm, sounds like basic trance song. It misses power, but I guess it is just a basic song...

My tips would be doing something about the kick a better punch and make the main synth a bit fatter...

For the rest it sounds like a trance song should be. The sound is very good already, sooooo... >>> Smile

Sure......I am the MCP....Or just MC...Uhmmm...I make battle music...There....That is more then enough...

It's a bit erratic, and i was unsure about the start either , so some adaption is made to it.

There will be some more kick in the final version, and as said it's an unmastered one , so the whole spectrum will sound different in the final version, thanx for the feedback Smile!

every time i listen to a new track by you i go back to one of your earlier ones to listen to the difference, and this is another giant leap forwards.
the mood and the sound really reminds me of some pvd remixes from the mid 90's (which is good).

on the production point, the beat takes ages to come in. I watched an interview with john 00 fleming (a trance dj), who said bringing a beat in as soon as possible was something djs look for in a track.
the kick is really prominent, and drowns out the bassline. The synths are nice, have you tried z3ta? and vanguard vsti's? theyre really good for trance.
I would also try breaking up the structure a little with a variation on the bassline.

it is really good though, and this is a significant step on from your previous tracks.

cheers

andy

Well Thank you Andy , i'm trying hard to make some progression to my 'skills' each and every track i produce, feedbacks like this are like a cherry on top of these progressions. I'm a madtracker user for approx 6 months now , and i think i'm getting the hang of it Wink (it's addictive isn't it..)

I've made a kick-fade at the start of the song, and that's an improvment already, there is more flow in the song with only the kick from the start. Lowered the volume of the kick and give it some more punch and less sub bass, so it's sounds a bit tighter..

Yes z3ta+ and Refx vanguard are GREAT , there are in this track as well Wink, together with Albino2 and Camelspace (love those trance gates Wink...

I know i have to work on some more variation , somehow the tracks i make lack a 'bit' of creativity now, The bassline thing is a good start i think (although a lot of ppl like the repetive thing in my songs Smile), but surelye a think to work on ....
