Haha. Nice story, especially about the 'you have to return in 30 days or else you can't go moron!'-part. But did you already schedule things in advance (such as going to this island that you refer to), or are you just blind travelling through the country?

yea that part was a bit too exciting. don't know what I've done if they hadn't let me on that plane.
no, no planing here, just meeting people and hear what they have to say and what places they recomend. since I haven't been here before I don't really know the good places, so I think this is the best way to travel around. Mikx, it's not impossible that Melbourne will be a destination so I might catch up on that offer of yours. anyways I'll soon leave phi phi and I'll update the blog then with some pics and stuff.
cheers

some brittish guy who spent a year fruitpicking in australia told us that you can make like 20 dollars an hour driving a forklift in warehouses in australia. is that true? cuz if it is, me and toffe might come to melbourne to find jobs.

btw, if any of you swedes or norwegians here wants to know how our little trip is going atm, I'm writing a swedish travellers diary on www.resedagboken.se (search for username "sonitus") and I update it a lot more than TOffe's blog.

catch ya later

it's true! i happen to work at a warehouse myself and some of the casual workers here get paid up to $22/hour, which is more than what i friggin get working in the office! rent is pretty cheap in melbourne too, compared to that big piece of corporate crap they call sydney. Razz

come on down!

Is that offer also valid during summer months? Or is it then too cold to visit Australia for Europeans such as I?
