Nintendo!
It's actually something new. PS3 & xbox360 is just the same with better visuals.
Honestly, I probably end up buying both a PS3 and a Revo to get the best of both worlds although I don't even have the time nowadays to play games |

It's really no contest. You can play Halo 2 on xbox360, therefore it's the winner
Seriously though, I haven't seen the specs for Revolution yet so I can't comment on that. Between 360 and ps3, the ps3 afaik had better tech-specs. Will also be the first to support blu-ray or whatever the new DVD format was called. It's controller on the other hand looks so damn UFO I have a hard time believing it would fit good in your hands. Looks more like a design extravaganza. The 360 controllers fit perfectly. The external powersource for the 360 is large as a brick though (almost as large as the console itself). A shame microsoft wasn't able to fit it internally. And what's with that external HDD? Why the hell couldn't they integrate that into the box right away also? Instead they had to do a "cheap" and a lux version of the box, when everyone knows that in order to play the old, way overpriced (60-70€ for a new game, come on!?) games you need the hdd anyway. Plain sux.

As a self-proclaimed Sony Whore™, I've gotta say. Revolution's gonna win.
Mainly because Sega has teamed up with Nintendo, so you'll be able to download those old/classic Nintendo and Sega games onto the Revolution (or however that classic gaming thing's going to work).
...course, I'm still gonna get the PS3. If I want to play those old games (with my PSX-2-USB controller converter, of course!), then I'll just search the hell out of Google for them, dagnabbit! |

I don't play games, but I did a lot of reading and writing about the topic for my work. In my perspective, Nintendo is going to win, since they emphasize on game play and not on appearance.
They're specs are bad (compared to the xbox and ps3), but their history concerning games is marvellous. Call me old-fashioned, but stuff like Zelda (any of them) is difficult to outperform by any reality-alike first person shooter, no matter how many PhysX- or Havoc-technologies are used for more realistic effects.
Furthermore, PS3 has a serious pricing problem. The console is too bloated (it can do too much), which the consumer most probably won't appreciate. People tend to want to use their machine for a purpose (gaming), and not feel forced to use it for other things just because they had to pay 200 euro more for it than the xbox or revolution. Sony has the advantage of having the best name (PlayStation most currently is the strongest brand name for gaming consoles among the big audience), but that effect can easily be overruled by too high pricing. |

i have to disagree and say that nintendo are going to lose badly. the 360 will come a distant 2nd and sony, with their superb marketing and the amount of money they throw into promoting new stuff is going to be a clear winner.
plus i think they'll sell the ps3 as a loss leader and claw back money from the game sales, and their catalogue of games will be streets ahead of the other 2.

rofl you shouldn't look at the specs man
Gamecube has waaay lower specs then Xbox 1 but still gamecube produces graphics equal to xbox 1
I mean ... have you seen Resident Evil 4 for instance? |

Well since I haven't seen the PS3 or the Revolution in action myself, I can't do a comparison on much else can I (The 360 I have seen on the other hand and I must say at least compared to the old xbox it's graphics are way better even on old games)? But based on your argument this whole discussion is pointless anyway untill all consoles are on the market, right? |

rhetorical is where you ask a question not expecting an answer, maybe hypothetical would be the right word i think G3.
i think the reason for the graphics being equal on xbox/ps/gamecube is they all produced graphics for the same resolution (ie tv) which isnt that high compared to, say a pc.
with hdtvs taking off its gonna need a lot of power to make decent graphics at high resolutions so sony and microsoft are onto a winner there i think.

only one thing... can't say HDTV's are really cheap
it will at least take 5 years before it's fully integrated
and it's not all about the graphics you know
gameplay is the keyword and I think Nintendo is on the right way |
