I've listened a lot to this song now after the compo ended, and I must say I find the song both surprisingly good AND boring at the same time.
I think I miss better lead parts somewhere in the song. The true lead part that shines above the ambient background flow of drums, bass and analogue strings and soft flutes are the very small sequence at 3:23-3:50.
It is very relaxing, and as a "Healer/Shaman" session this music would fit perfectly. I don't think it is radio friendly tho, if not after 1:00am in the night... To get ppl to sleep.
The mix of sounds, the atmosphere, its flowing overlaps, the use of the frequence register and the punch and clarity of the sounds is however outstanding! The production skills are really top-notch on this song!
