First i want to say hello to all members of this forum. I hope, that this little problem didn`t appear in the past or in the FAQ. Because i was looking for it and didn`t find an answer.
Since a month i`m composing a megamix with Madtracker2. Every Track in this "Song" was working. But since yesterday the track no. 1 still quiet. But i did not drop the loudness by myself with some of the functions in the track-window...
I can`t play samples in this track, but i can insert them. Other channels are still "alive" but this seems to be dead.
Maybe some of you had this problem to?...i am very thankful if somebody could give an answer for this problem.
My System is Win98 and i play on the soundcard creative 128. |

Maybe your first channel is routed to a silent channel, or a channel with a fx that is put to zero for output?

No, this was one of my ideas too, but thats not the problem. This track has no effect
LEARNING BY DOING )
I found my problem...
there is a sign on the left Button of the FX-Button
However this position moved my track to a quiet track...i don`t know. But Inge, thanks for your help! |

"Emotional Shit Part II"
I thought that the problem is gone away, but from time to time the volume of channel 1 and 5 moved down, without that i do something like this. It`s like a ghosthand...
I know that sounds very funny, but the problem already exists. And everytime i have to rise the volume up again, but there are no effects like filter, flanger or any other used in this channels. |

uuh, this might be a long shot, but could it be that you have some automation going on there? |

That's a possibility. You may have copied the track over (which also copies automation), and it's having this "HauntedTracker" problem.
Sometimes, the siblings of the household will get a hand on things like MadTracker too. Do you have any siblings? |
