Hmm... Iīve been watching this a long time now. Releases? Not really. Every 14 days a new track. In my eyes itīs like no release. And dead links wherever you look at. I didnīt check all links, but in the Trancesection nearly 50% are broken.
So whatīs going on here??? |

Well, yannick is having a break or litte vacation from madtracker, and Inge has started work on some other things. So that would explain the lack of new madtracker versions coming out anytime soon.
On the music front, you should check the music section in the forum. More and more people bring out there tracks in mp3 format, that's because they use more and more VST stuff with madtracker. So it's a bit more shifted to the music section in the forum... |

Yeah, the music section you find in the left-hand menu is more or less dead (and there are loads of dead links in there). Everyone posts their new music in the music section of the forums these days. |

Sleeping, maybe.
I'm checking in here quite frequently, every day, or at least every second day; though I rarely write anything nowadays.
For me Madtracker is far from dead, looking from a producing angle, at least..

Hmm.
So why donīt expand the music section up to mp3 or ogg?
I see the problems when using the vstīs. I had the problem also with my tunes, so maybe thatīs the reason why thereīs nothing new in it...
I can remember times when there was more than one new track a day... |

hmm, I think I'd rather see the music section merge into the music forum (and remove the music section). The forum somehow seems far more flexible for getting feedback, reviews, ratings (through polls) etc. If we'd standardize how people post their finished tracks, then this could work, or? With standardize I mean for instance tagging the subject line or message body with genres. If you've made a house track you'd put [House] in the subject line or message body, if you've made some heavy metal you'd put [Heavy metal] there and so on. Every finished track would have a poll and people could easily vote without having to do a review. Just a thought, but what do you guys think? |

Well, inside one of the sections of Elektromusika, there's a html with All Madtracker.org/music links there are running oks.
The Direct link is that:
Elektromusika.es.mw//DESCARGA DE CANCIONES

Well, I don't know, but it's true that there's much people using Mad's forum for his/her song that Music section.
Mad's forum can help anyone, in any kind of format, and do more interaction with all Madtracker community...
I think the Music section would be a "MadTracker Selection" of the best MT2 files, to growing up the kuality of MadTracker software "image".
- Maybe it would be an interesting idea that Mad'users (or only Mad'registered users, I don't know)can upload her/his MT2 files to Mad's server putting it on Music section (after a review of the MT2 file). It would be less files on that section, but all links would be running always perfectly, and it would change the "old/duty music section" to "special quality section" of Madtracker.org |

So the Music section would become like a MT hall of fame, where only the best would be present? Interesting idea But who would stand for quality control? Is the community critical enough not to let anything pass if there would be a voting system for this, or would there need to be yet another board of people who decide what to add? |

well, madtracker community is really enought BIG to have lot's of good MT2 files.
The problem really is WHO decide who comes inside this HALL OF FAME?? ... really i don't know! ja ja!!... but, it's true that inside Mad's community there are VERY GOOD trackers, like ETERNAL ENGINE, FUTURE TRIBE, PYROZANE, QBICAL (and mroe others!!), so maybe they can help with their opinions... or similar!! i donĄt know!!
But, appart from that, I think it would be the community in general who decide it! OR almost would be the community who make the "rules" of that ""HALL OF FAME"" |
