VST & Rewire : more ...?

Hello there !
MT 2.5 is a great tracker, no pb.
Nevertheless I wondered if the behavior of MT's VST and Rewire extensions could be again improved.

My question is twice :

- VST : Why MT3 couldn't be a VST Instrument and could be handled as a classic VSTi (See the Reaktor behavior for exemple...)...

- Rewire : Why MT3 or higher couldn't have a "Rewire-Master-Out" and then, could be set, inside our favorite Rewire host application, as only two channels or one stereo channel instead of one console track per each MT track...

...?

Well, i don't know really "WHY", but... i don't like to play MT3 like a VSTi. I love to use all kind of VSTe&VSTi inside MadTracker, and other software like Cubase or Cool Edit Pro to improve the sounds and the mixes:P

But... you know... the "similar" thing you could do is: Make your sound on MadTracker, and when you make the sound you're looking for, export to WAV file and then use a good VSTwavEditor or usi directly to Cubase or Cool Edit as a sample.

<<---->>

Appart from that... WHERE YOU FROM?? i read your profile..but it's still EMPTY of information:P!!

Enjoy using MadTracker2

Yes, your advise is good.
What I proposed is that MT could have the Two beahvior : VST host and VSTi... I don't know if it is possible...

If you don't active the other tracks, the master tracks will contain everything. That is, it contains everything except the other active tracks.
But some host active all the tracks by default I think (unlike Cubase for instance).

Hello Yannick !
Thanks for your reply.

Do you think the two VST behavior (Host and Instrument) be possible (coding, etc...). Dont you think the instrument behavior could bring some new views or projects for MT ...????...

Yes it could. I'm not rejecting the idea for MT3.

If/when MT3 is released, it would be a cool idea to adapt MT2 as a VSTi I think.

I think I've heard before that Yannick might release the source code for MT2 when MT3 is released, in that case it would be possible for others to improve and/or convert it to other systems and formats.

Well, I guess that MT3 will be more expensive than MT2; which means that you'll save money if you register MT2 now and then get the free upgrade for MT3 ..
