Does anybody know some VSTI's that are used in hip hop production. like that synth that Lil' Jon is alwayz using Ex:SNap ya fingas synth or any other synth that would sound like that. I'm trying to find a synth that i can use for sharp sounding melodies just like lil jon does. Not a mellow type synth, but sharp. anywayz... yeah any help would be awesome. thanks Lionel aka L-MO

basicaly I think superwaveP8 can do what you want, you can kinda get any sound out of that as long as you know how it works, with a sharp synty I think you mean superwave it comes standard with madtracker if Im correct else get smthing else out of the best-buy bin http://www.madtracker.org/plugins.php

Yep.....Superwave! There are some good synths in FM7 and Iblit too.

i think every kind of (VA style copy) VST is useful for hiphop as long as you know how to edit your synthesizers. but all of this synths are based on the same concept!! (VA = Virtual Analog, like superwave which is a copy of the roland jp8000, discovery dicoDSP which is a copy of the clavia nordlead2, novation v-station which is a copy of novation k-station..) cheers..!!

try mda jx-10 and mda dx-10, you�ll find some cool stuff there (check the GANGSTA WHINE preset in the jx-10)
