Hello im new to Madtracker but not to trackers.
I am working now with VST synths and i got to issues to solve with them:
1. when using a synth on one pattern i want it to stop on the next one but it doesn't stop even if i put a sample or other VST afterwards on the same track. how do i stop the sound of a VST synth
2. Is it possible to apply effects [Delay for example] on VST instruments? [obviously no intruments including built in effects]

1. it happens with some vsti's 
but check if an instrument assigned to that VSTi has a "continue" function in NNA enabled, or preset itself, maybe you can change preset parameters
if this doesnt work for that vst you can use automation, and set track volume to 0 (You also can automate VST settings)
2. You can apply MT built in effect on track assigned to VSTi, or you can put VST effect plugin on the same track as VST sytnh

by default vst instruments are set to track 00 so if you don't change that all your vsti will play from that track and could cause some of these problems for you. if you use a specific vsti on ex track 09 make sure to set the vsti to track 09. if you don't know how ask again or try and get help in the irc channel or read the tutorials on the matter. cheers |
