I have the firewall that came with my windows xp. I want a better one. What is a VERY good firewall i can download and use for free that dosen't slow down my computer?  |

The windows firewall is good enough  , but if you want full scale defense, download the free version of Zonealarm (or register)
Zonealarm is good, XP Firewall is sufficient |

Yeah XP firewall is decent enough, only it doesn't monitor outgoing traffic. I don't know. I tried Zonealarm when looking for a new firewall, but it didn't work that amazingly for me. I went back to using Kerio 4, which I have used since I bought the computer. Nowadays it's Sunbelt Kerio 4. It has worked good enough for me. I also tried Outpost for the trial period and liked that one. I think you should try out for yourself. |
