Winamp Plugin

The Winamp plugin has been updated to reflect the new MT 2.3 version. It also has been submitted to the plugins page of Winamp.com and has been accepted! Very Happy
Feel free to download it from Winamp.com and to give it a review...

Hmm how come when winamp is loaded (by double clicking an associated mt2 file for example) the first time the module never plays and skips to the next song (if any). This is only with a new instance of winamp and the first mt2 module.

It's not a big thing, just curious Wink

I have similar problems with winamp; whenever I drag a list of mp3's from explorer to Winamp, it 'forgets' the first song. I think it has something to do with your installation of Winamp or state of Windows. It's not an inherent flaw, since I don't have the same thing as you do. You might try re-installing Winamp, but I can't assure that it will help.

Ah, yeah, that's happened to me quite a number of times. Only with MT2 tunes though.

I think it's more along the lines of a "Too much to load in one hit" kind of bug, or something. As the name implies Wink

Inge it's only with mt2 files.

I think the mt2 plugin isn't initialized when winamp starts up, but it gets activated when it hits the first mt2. But because it's not yet active when it has reached the first mt2 it skips to the next song in the list.

Yannick can probably tell more how this exactly works.

I got the same problem with the mt2-plugin.. But it's not a big deal. I'll live Very Happy

I noticed that I can run full screen visualizations with the new plugin. Couldn't do that before without everything being choppy. Good work, Yannick!

Nice to see the new plugin works much better... While no drastic changes were made! Laughing

About that song skipping on the first launch, I think it's maybe due to the CPU-protection I added. Like MT2, the plugin will stop (and skip to the next song) when it detects that it used too much CPU. The pre-buffering of Winamp must be the cause of this.

I'll see for a fix in a next version.

Actually, I found that the song stopping thing happened more frequently with the last plugin version. You obviously did something to fix that Very Happy

What about promissed support for "keep on disk samples" function? I didn't make any tests with new plugin.
This could be usefull for releasing music disks, If you use the same samps in several songs.
