How do you use this as a plugin in MT? It will only allow .dll VST, and I can't find a .dll for yellow tools.
I had to install asio4all just to get it to run in standalone. |

I hate to resurrect a 6-month-old thread, but I was wondering if anybody downloaded this (Independence Free) and got it to work correctly in MT2? I downloaded it last night to play with, and everything seems to work until I actually put MT2 into record mode. When I enter notes into a pattern, each one gets attacked but then cuts off abruptly, as though I had entered a note cut-off right after each note. When MT2 is not in record mode, I can hold notes normally.
It does this on default settings--I load the VST into a completely blank MT2 track, load one of the Independence Free instruments into the sampler, and this is the behavior it exhibits. Also, FYI, I'm not using any midi equipment--just my computer keyboard to enter notes.
If anyone's gotten this to work, I'd love to know what setting I need to change--even the free version has some excellent sounding instruments.
Thanks! |

Yeah, sorta. I can't remember the exact place in the VSTi, but there is a setting that tells it how long to hold onto the note (decay or something). You have to crank it *way* up for it to work right in MT2. Somehow MT2 or Yellow Tools is not sustaining the note from one row to the next, so it's starting to play the note then treating it like you immediately picked up the key. I *was* able to get some pretty good sound out of it though once I fixed that issue.
*update* I found it, it's on the VOL. AHDSR thingy. The RELEASE section. Just increase that to 500ms or 3s or some such and I *think* that solves it. |
