I'm getting a bit confused.. As I recall the time I live in is GMT+1, and according to the forum all times are GMT+1. But when I post this post ( ), it appears an hour earlier. Of course my connection could be faster than light, but I think something else is behind it.
It's not a big deal or anything, it just occured to me. |

Here too (and I'm really in the same region as you are ). Don't know what causes it, all I know is that a lot of fora give this incorrect +1 adjustment. Silly internet.

I'm thinking the server uses GMT time, when you post you are in GMT+1, but the timestamp on the post when it's saved in the database is still GMT only, then when the posts is retrieved from the database it doesn't add the one hour to the timestamp, but instead prints whatever the timestamp says, and then adds another line underneath that informs you that you're in GMT+1. Meaning, you should do the math yourself, the server only gives you the timestamp that is recorded in the database |

My time seems correct. You can change it in your profile, so check that it is correct there too.

Weird or what? It says you posted at 8.28, you say that you posted at 9.28, and my setting says that my times are GMT + 1 hour, so my setting is correct. Huh?

same here, although it occured to me yesterday that I could have my settings wrong, but they weren't.
I did a test and set it to gmt+2 and it shows the correct time of the post. So there's probably a miscalculation in the code somewhere. |

Hmm... Isn't CET = GMT+2 now? That would explain it.

This timezone thing can be quite confusing. Hopefuly this document helps to understand.
Actually, we (at least me) are in CEST now - which is CET in summer (CEST = CET+1 = GMT+2).

We're also in summer-time, but there's no incest going on here. |
