Problem with Realtek HD Audiocard

Hi Peeps!

Had to get a new PC as my old one crashed.
The old one had a creative soundcard digital 5.1.

Now with the new one (Realtek HD Audio (Onboard soundcard) I have a few problems in Madtracker.

I loaded a module in it and it wont play it properly.
In the configuration when I set my device to Realtek Audio HD ouput and set the Frquency to 441000 Hz it has strange noises in it and stucks too.
When I set the Frequency to 96000 Hz it plays the song clearly but some of the VSTs play the tracks in a wrong tone.

And the main problem is that some VST Synths donīt play a note at all, only when I set the Frequency back to 441000 but then I donīt have a clear sound.

I installed the latest drivers for the card but it didnīt help.

What can I do?
Need help quickly Sad.

Why donīt you take the Creative card out of your old PC. Surely it wasnīt the soundcard that crashed, was it? Otherwise, I don't really know. Check your soundcard configuration in your OS to see if something's off there I'd say. Or maybe email/phone Realtek?

what is hip?

I never seem to get those onboard cards to work and have experienced the same problems as you, Chiefrocka - they are supposed to be better now than in the old days, but I dont think they are ideal for Madtracker and stuff.

Yeah I guess you guys are right.

Iīll install the creative card again.
Just thought I could avoid that and keep my PCI Slot free.
And I propably also thought the REaltek card might have a better sound, but if it doesnīt work in Madtracker, itīs useless.
Actually it also doesnīt even play the modules properly with 96000 Hz now. Dunno whats wrong.

The hell, Iīll disable it and install the PCI card.

Thx guys, anyway Smile.

Ok, now you installed creative..
but did you ever try the "primary audiodriver" (don't know if it's the right translation for "Prim„rer Soundtreiber" Wink )or "Microsoft Soundmapper" as output device?
that's my configuration Wink

my setting is:
- 16 bit + Stereo
- 44 khz
- Buffers: 4
- Size: 20
- HQ filter ist set to: off (not checked)
