Haha, funny. The thing is that, NO, I can't fuckin end the mt2.exe-process. It doesn't work. I end it. Nothing happens. I've tried it, see. The little bastard just doesn't react.
Other non-mocking, actually working-, suggestions are still warmly welcome |

still using MT2 mogens. i'll never give up my favourite software!
it ran fine on vista but only with directX or sound mapper/wave output. i have a realtek soundcard in my laptop and MT won't do ASIO with it (ASIO4ALL).
did anyone else have that problem? i got around it by installing WinXP instead. ASIO4ALL now works and MT runs much faster with close to no latency (only 4ms).
bottom line - vista sucks! |

by the way, have you tried any command line programs that can kill processes? for example TaskKill. i think that runs on vista as well as XP. |

Hi folks!
I have the same problem and after I had read this thread I tried a kill process program - didn't work. The problem is that if I cannot kill the task vista won't shut down properly, but I found a (annoying) workaround: First log off the computer, then shut vista down from the startup screen. You can also log on again, the process is then killed.
Another thing is that I experienced problems with editing the mt-optins. The program & vista hung up, all I could do was a reset. I couldn't even test the tracking yet, but mods I loaded ran fine, no sound problems.
Well, I installed virtual pc 2007 with xp pro, I will try if that works for me. Resources should be enough, I am running an E8400 (2x3GHz) with 3.5 gigs of ram and a m-audio delta 1010lt. Report will follow... |

Okay I have got the solution to the problem: Kick off Vista from your PC and reinstall XP.
At least that's what I did. It was the second time I gave Vista a try and this was definitely the last time - simply sucks! |
