FREE DAW
No, it's not a tracker, it's a sequencer. And no, it's not finished yet, it's at version 0.42 right now. But from what I've fiddled with, it's pretty cool so far.

And no, it's not MadTracker...... But it works. If you ever fiddled with Ableton, Reason, FL Studio, etc you'll know what to do with it. And yes, it does look a bit cartoonish right now. They're still working on the programming, cosmetics will come later.
Oh yeah, and it's open source freeware. And it plays all my VSTi. |

P.S. Usually I wouldn't go to a forum and post about a competitor. But since MT seems dead, or at least in a coma........ Nice to have a freeware to use to get the tracks made, even if it is a sequencer. |

Alright, I just played around with the program for an hour or so. It works really nice for a pre-pre-pre-beta and is definitely worth to be on the hard drive. Very intuitive, comes as a quite nice package and it is simply fun. Won't replace MT2 though since it is something completely different (except the fact that both can create music ). |
