 |
Hi!
i use the Virus Indigo synthesizer with 1024 programs and i would love to sequence with a tracker. Can Madtracker access more than 128 programs? Or can i tell MT2 just to send out the midi signals without selecting a special program?
Best regards

Hi,
I was wondering the same thing but It seems you can't select more than 128 programs neither select another bank than bank #0 when exporting to midi.
There is CC 00 to select a bank but it never work neither when I tried. |

I solved it and
actually IT WORKS! Atleast with my Roland synthesizers.
The problem is kind a tricky:
you have to use that BANK SELECT message which is with CC effect command on madtracker.
1 that CC00nn is a bank select message which is synth dependant (check the manual about MIDI implementation).
if just sending bank select messages then nothing happens UNLESS you also change the program.
So, you have to change the program too (i mean using another instrument at once which is mapped to the same midi channel but has another program number-- this will simulate program change message!) |
