I`m not sure I understand - but each VST is always assigned only to one channel.
However, you can also tell the vst to play on different channels (if you dont specify I think it just jumps from channel to channel each time you play a note in order to create several notes playing simultaneously ) Try rightclicking in the osciloscope window, to mark the channels you want to use. If you only choose one you should be aware that it can affect the VSTs ability to play multible notes at the same time - i.e you wil only be able to play single notes, as each new entered note will "end note" the previous.

martin, does this realy belong to VSTīs? i thought this is only possible with normal samplebased Instruments via Keyjazz or MCE.
and anoldshoe, if you asked about a VSTI, an Instrument, thatīs easy. just dont play a note, than the VSTI is off.
in the case you meant a VST (effect) there i donīt think that it is possible to automate the On/Off switch, but depending on the Plugin self, there is a workaround for sure. something like automating a Dry/wet mixer in example. I can go more precise, when you tell us wich VST-Effect you meant. |

I`m not sure. It seems to me that MT handles multible notes better when more channels are active. Try muting all channels execept the one you`ve got a VSTI assigned to... on my setup MT handles the sound different than if you have more channels open - so I assume that yannick made it so that the VST spills over to other channels when needed. But I`m not sure. |
