Panning with Automation

Is it not possible to continually pan repeating notes of the same instrument over the course of a track with Automation?

If not (and it appears not, though I'm not sure why), is the only alternative to manually enter a pan Hex value on every note in the track?

MED used to have a feature where you set the pan start and end values, then it interpolated the values and inserted them on every line between the points you specified.

Thanks.

ps. I'm not talking about panning one long note of an instrument with the instrument pan envelope. I want a new pan value for each note as it plays, smoothly moving from left or right or whatever.

There's no automation for panning, sadly. I guess the only option is to enter the code manually Rolling Eyes

Fasttracker had that too. I learned if after using the program for two or three years (if I'm not mistaken, it was shift/ctrl/alt-v for the track/pattern/blok). Entering values costed me half of my life when using fade ins that took two patterns. It would be cool if MT had that too.

The automation would even be more nice, although I don't resent hex codes. After a while, you're fingers can blindly enter 256 sequential codes while eating breakfast, feeding the dog and making a move on that girl walking outside. It's all about practising enough Smile
