L + R channel simultaniously playback

hi, does anyone know how to playback one sample/instrument forced to the outward left and right channel (stereo, without the sound played in the middle), while just using one pattern?

can't seem to find it in any of the pattern effects

thx

There are several ways to achieve this:

- you can set the instrument PAN position in the instrument tab (the little green waveform icon - between the sample and vst icons)

- You can set the pan positon of a VSTi on the top of the VST vindow.

- you can use the effect lines in the pattern editor, f.ex:

C-4 1 .. .. .. ...
C-4 1 .. 01 .. ...
C-4 1 .. FF .. ...

Be aware that the values you can use are in hexadecimal. In my example I have used the outermost values; 01(all left) and FF (all right) The middle pan postion is 80.

Hope this helps!

Smile

I presume you don't mean the same sample in both left and right, because that would be just the same as playing in the middle Smile

thx for the reply.
Obviously L + R playback would result in center channel.
But i was looking for tricks to have a stereo enhancement on a sample, instead of a pure central sound. In a way a more professional production.
One way to do it is to use twice the sample on a different pattern, one left and one right, and play with some effects, as described by the posts. Ways to do seem extra volume, shift of L+R part of the sample, etc...

anyway, tricks are welcome
