Cant transpose...

Hi

I`m having problems problems with transposing entire rows of notes only the note on the top is transposeable - I believe that I have read something about this in the forum previously. Is this an XP error or did I download the second 2.30 file from a mirror that wasent updated perhaps?

Kind regards

Martin

There might be a problem with the mt-version that is located at the tucows-server. Download and install the version that comes directly from the mt-server, and see if that works. Please let us know *if* it works.

Yannick can give more insight in this matter; I'm not sure if the problem with tucows is still active, and if it can cause this problem.

Xnme: the same goes for you: try the version that is hosted on mt.org itself (download three from the list).

transposing

1. Downloaded first from Twocows - norwegian server
Transposing a row only affected top note on the highligted block.

2. Just tried to install MT downloaded from madtracker.org server as suggested. Transposing affects NOT the highlightd block, but the notes in other channels. I highlighted notes on channel 4, but the notes in channel 2 AND 1 got affected instead. I tried to see if I could find some logic to the error but i couldn`t - It just seems to transpose the channels a bit to the left of the channel i`m aiming at. Smile

This might be a longshot but: I`m using a Labtech mouse with a scrollwheel between the buttons, driver provided by XP.

Sunbuster: Ah, you still haven`t found the MT version that sucks ass! Wink (read one of your earlier postings today)

ok, this might be a very long shot, but are you guys using a proxy server? Have you tried without using the proxy? because if I remember correctly the filename of the first official 2.30 version and the version that was released a couple of hours after that are the same. So perhaps you're downloading your files from a proxy server all the time, which hasn't checked if there is a new file available because the filenames are the same (would be weird, but like I said, it's a very long shot Wink).

martin: I've found the version that supports long channel names, long text in the parameters box, 64 channels, and transposes with no problems Wink

Two problems seems to be occuring at the moment:

1: the tucows version of MT hasn't been updated. Using that version with the latest mt2.dat and wave.mtx can possibly result in a not-working wave export. Solution: download the mt-version from mt.org itself, and not one of the tucows mirrors. Yannick will update the version at tucows as soon as possible.
2: transposing still can be buggy. Yannick is working on a solution and will release it as soon as possible.

Kind regards,
Inge

I released the fixed version a bit after I submitted the new version to Tucows. I thought they would have downloaded the file when they reviewed it but it seems that it was not the case. Sad

I am currently working on yet another fix (MT 2.3.2) and will release it this week hopefuly.

Sorry about that.

Yannick
