that's odd.. i've had this VIA for about a month now, and it works perfectly fine.. i never had any crashes, and madtracker is fast with no signs of trouble..

The problem does not always appear. It depends on many factors, such as the exact chipset (KT400 chipsets and higher should not have the dreadful buggy 686b chipset), your configuration (the more load on your southbridge, the higher the chance of malfunctioning) and your specific motherboard (I *never* have been able to cure mine; most users can solve the problem with the bugfix I wrote).
