Jeff Minter's just finished coding a game for the PlayStation Vita called TxK, which is a progression of Tempest 2000 on the Atari Jaguar. I've done a tune for the soundtrack and I used MadTracker 2 along with VSTs of the Korg Mono/Poly, Korg Polysix, Roland Juno-60 and Ensoniq SQ-80 synths. Should be out in a couple of months, here's a video of my track:
