 |
Well not really.. I think it was my radium 49 keyboard that actually crashed my system. Very odd, I was playing some tunes on it in madtracker and suddenly windows rebooted
It happened before with ComputerMuzys and I lost nothing important this time..
I think my win XP install isn't 100% (maybe some bad sectors can be the cause of it??). It's been behaving slightly different and I already tried to reinstall it twice with no results.
Maybe it's a driver problem, think I should check the m-audio site and see if there's something there.
Anyone experienced similar problems? |

Actually, this is normal.
See, when Microsoft made Windows XP, Bill Gates specifically asked the development team to make Windows XP reset exactly when a user didn't want it to.
The development team saw this as evil and tossed the idea back at him.
Obviously, this didn't stop him. He broke into the development floor (he doesn't really own Microsoft, he just sits at a desk in there) and did the work himself... sorta... ok not really, he just pressed a few buttons and got lucky (power button, enter key, a, b, c, d, f, backspace, e, z, 9, 3, 6, stuffed up the alphabet so hit reset button, hit the tab key and activated the cup tray, print screen, power on the printer, reset on the printer, printer blew up, there is no reset button on the printer, etc).
The rest is a little brief. Y`know, Microsoft did this, McDonalds did that, those two are actually one and the same company! Have you ever noticed that Ronald and Bill look so much alike?
No?
Then you're smart. You looked away before you could see the horrors which laid beyond and... where was I going with this?
Oh yeah, basically, noodles are the best thing to buy from a chinese take-out.
...wait, that wasn't it... um...
Ok, yeah, don't bother with looking for extra drivers or whatnot, just reinstall WinXP. If it's still not 100% loaded, then don't worry. It's only natural that Microsoft forgot to do something.
I still can't find the "Any" key! |

well if you've already tried re-installing XP, then you might have some hardware that doesn't quite like being in the same tower with some other hardware. Think it was Inge who posted a pretty extensive how-to-do guide for how to build a stable system, try searching for it in the forums here (think it was under help and support).
and Lollie, don't bother trying to find that "Any" key, it's a hidden key only Bill and his closest mates know about |
