 |
To start off i would like to say i searched for help, as well as read the manual front to cover several times.. im having trouble figuring out how to hook up my mixing board. i have it ran from the output sound from my computer to my mixing board, output from mixing board to stereo. but how do i get it back into the computer to record? and if i have it into line in, can i record into line in?. That brings up another question, will i get the beat playing back into it from the mixer. This brings me to my last question, if i have my output on mixer going to stereo how do i get one goin to my computer line in? splitter cables? im REALLY confused |

it would be easier to help if we'd know exactly what mixer you have, then one could search for the manual and other info on the net. Is it perhaps the DFX 6 or DFX 12 you have?
Anyway, if it's a dfx 12 you have then the mixer should at least have both an master output and a tape send. You could use the master output to send the info to the amplifier, and the tape send to send the info to the computer again. Using the aux sends is also an option, although they're only mono, so you'd have to use some tricks to get a stereo signal out. |

reading your post again, I'm thinking it's the aux sends you'll have to use, because then you can control exactly which channels get sent to the aux sends, and thus exactly which channels get recorded. |
