Down at http://www.madtracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=50 you will find a *huge* list of samplesites. If you scroll down to the user-feedback links, the last one goes to an extensive site with drumkits and loops. It might be a good start to begin your journey there
Looking forward to hear your music in the music section of this forum
Kind regards,
Inge

You say 'to create a beat', if by any change you were talking about hiphop beats, start sampling from old records. for your first kick & snare take michael jackson - billie jean . |
what is hip?

but seriously folks. if you look for wav files on your computer... you can find some pretty interesting stuff to mess around with... like sounds from games, or windows. you just have to crop sometimes and as well use some imagination |

Old FT2 could load any file. I once loaded the .exe of Masters Of Magic, and were able that way to extract the intro speech out of it
Sir: how are you doing with the drums so far?

woah that would be a cool idea for mt3 as well as a compressed sfx extractor like that for doom to get doom sounds or something |

It's not that special. I think MadTracker (as every wave-loading program) is already capable of it. Just choose 'all files' in the open wave screen, and choose your file of interest. I'm unaware if programmers still put all their audio as actual wave-files in one *big* .exe; I think programmers are more well-organized nowadays
