Posted: Tue Feb 24 2004 23:31 Hello, may I please you to listen to this...... ? |
 |
Hello, I'm 22years old and I produce trance music for about 9years. I come from Central Europe, from Slovakia a here isn't this perfect style of music much prefered, and because of that I haven't big chances to listen other people to my tracks. And that's why I'm writing here. This way I want everyone who may listen to my tracks to review it. Thanks. BuRo

Hey Buro, welkom on these boards.
But why a mp3, show us some mt2 work of yours
About the song, sounds good, nice groove, nice effects, good break at 1:58, the strings could have been a bit more louder and more clear, I gues there a bit over reverbed.
The start at 3.45 disapointed a bit, why not use a cutoff slide for the main melody 15 sec before, now there is this silence. Good melody btw that's not the prob
Overall Good song, good quality, but sometimes some samples sound to sharp, good use of effects, especialy at 6.40 (the flanger sound)
Keep on going (still would like to see the mt2 )

To start with. I don't like trance.
This tune of your's actually made me listen(i was rolling a joint at the same time, don't get too flatterd), and for that I'll give u this.
Like the tune, I'd like to see the mt2 also, just to compare the sound. It sounds very pro. the panning is ok, nothings muddy,it's clear and "very" correct.
(And;i'd love to hear a tune from u that's not something I've heard b4)

Nice tune! Very good produced, mixed and arranged, although I miss a bit "drive" in the drums, but maybe that's the idea of trance ? .... A bit too "commercial" sound for me though.
Good overall work though!
Is this mt2 only btw?
Keep it up!

Would *definately* want to see the mt2 source of this one. I have some difficulties with the huge amount of variations in this song (I interpreted as a medley and not really one big anthem), but the sound quality, samples and production are upperclass stuff. Not my cup of tea, but definately quality coding. Thumbs up for that.

ps: if this song represents your definition of trance, then I can imagine that not much people hook up to it. The western-european sound is quite different. The only thing that really comes close is the Chicane-alike fragment (don't have the song here at school so can't give an exact time in the song). You might consider getting yourself informed about what's hot and what's not in the landscape of trance, and see if you can extract interesting and inspirational stuff from that pool to make a more 'popular' sound (oh, how I hate these phrases...just don't tell me children that I tried to help people getting a more mainstream sound ).

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING INGE!!!!
anyway on the topic of the song. i liked it but this song was just lacking something the whole time.. id put a stronger melody... as well it does sound exactly like all the other trance songs of a couple years ago.... you need to find a sound or style to bring yourself out of that group and into your own. you have the talent to do it you just need to use some creativity.
anyway... i hope that helped. |

good quality as far as the technical aspect of the production goes (mix and such). However, I think the overall sound is all to mainstream. Please forget the "typical trance strings" that you have playing from 3:50 on about, they're way overused by everyone. I liked the intro up to about 1:50, then I could already hear where this tune would end up, unfortunately. Conlusion, please try to be more original with your sounds and your choice of instruments, because right now there's nothing that sets you appart from the rest of the thousands or so trance producers out there. |

I like the overall sound, but I have some comments...
After the break you introduce us to an synth sequence played in 16th notes, and after that you play a more chord stab like synth, It would seem logicly better if you reversed that, that way you will get a better climax towards the point were your main beats flow in...
Now about the beats, I definatly miss a drive in them...
the shaker sound has WAY to mutch shuffle on it for the type of track, and I miss this typical Opened high Hat on the after beat, try to experiment with the shuffle and maby add some more Highhats or percssion instruments.
The whole melody's are great, the sound is great, I just miss this drive...
