Pitching samples in FT2-mode (using MadTracker v2.20)

Yo!

I'm using Mad Tracker 2.20, and I think it rocks!

...except for one thing.
If I choose to make a new FT2-module(xm) and load a
sample, I'm not able to change the sample pitch? If
my memory is not totally corrupt, I think that you
could change the pitch of a sample in FT2 quite
easily? Why doesn't it work here? The sample I loaded
was a wave-file (16-bit), if that matters.

It works if I choose to make a new MT2-module. Then I
can change the pitch and all is good and well.

Anyone?

Sinc.

Simple.
You just can't alter the pitch in Fasttracker mode.

Not in the instrument options at least.
You'll have to go into the sample options and alter the frequency to alter the pitch. Smile

Though, wouldn't it be easier to just make a .mt2 mod?
Or is there a specific reason as to why you're making an .xm mod?

Btw, there's an MT2.3 now.

Simply go to the sample properties tab to alter the pitch of a sample.
Click on the sample icon below the instrument list, or click on 'Properties' in the sample menu.

And what about with Envelope pitch in MT v2.32? Envelope pitch, I think, it is a good tool to create kicks.

wow, when can we expect that!!!!
and does it just affect the pitch value in the instrument window or does it let me slide a note down and up again 6 octaves?

Very Happy
