Vintage Madtracker HTML...

Say, is it possible to see the old mt.org? Is it still backed up on some harddrive? I wasn't here back then.

This wouldnt happen to have been "Distressed Froggy you are talking about... would it? I kinda liked that one Smile And if distressd froggy isnt the one, please point me to the correct reference/

Anyhoo, as sunbuster said earlier, Fastracker stopped workin in win98, so I needed a different tracker (mostly used as a player still). I had bought Modedit a few years before and hardly ever used it and I was just using fast tracker 2 as a player. Somehow when I did a search for trackers in yahoo, 1 too, ended up at MAZ sound tools (this was probably 2 years ago or so maybe three) and I too decided to try out madtracker. It was everything I expected and then some.
Though even after two years or so, Im still using it mostly as a player while I learn to play. Even though I don't quite use it yet, I still decided to register last year, as I am planning on using its full apabilites in the future.

Ohh... "Distressed Froggy" was bad, but I'm talkin` real bad... I mean, like, REAL bad.

I'm talkin` "first compo, last page" bad. Wink

And that news post on the archived MT.org page... Kinda stuck me too, but hey, at least we've got more than a skin preview to look at these days... Rolling Eyes

<Off-topic>

Lollie,

Took me a few moments to find it, but I'm listening to your first comp entry now. I'm gonna have to read the results to see why the song didn't do so well. It sounds real familiar... I don't understand how it it <bad pun> sank so low </bad pun>.
I just read the results. I understand now.
</Off=topic>

My apologies for going off topic, I guess I could have posted the inquiry elsewhere...

Ooohh here it comes: my 'story'

Well I thought I was making "music" in fasttracker, and I thought I was good. Then we got a new computer and fasttracker didn't bla work bla bla bla anymore. bla bla bla bla bla.

The end of my tracking..................................... for a while.

In the mean time I heard from a friend the name madtracker. Well I thought madtrcker sounds a lot like fasttracker dumm dumm dumm dumm dumm dumm (beating drums)

I forgot all about tracking and went on with my 'life'. Suddenly my primal instincts told me to look for madtracker on the internet. That's when I found the madtracker website. Downloaded madtracker and the rest is bla bla bla bla bla.

Thank you

Hello! Just found madtracker here. Perhaps this will be a beginning of a beauuutiful friendship. Dunno. I've been using lots of progs like (from the very beginning:) Scream tracker, IT, FTII, (even tried MT at some point, sticked with FT2 then), Skale, Renoise, Psycle and some others, that never finished... Nowadays using Skale mostly. Nneeway, MT seems really cool with soundfonts and all the features. Hey, I better go back to fiddling with all its bells and whistles!
