 |
Since all this beta-testing of MadTracker 2.5 is a serious job, I found it necessary to indulge in the beauty of a new amplifier to make sure that all frequencies are being transmitted properly. And no, Yannick did not pay for this one (I tried persuading him though).
Ah. The Harman/Kardon 3480. You are all invited to come over and listen your favourite tracks here
ps: anyone got a spare set of Infinity speakers? |

Hmmm...
I wonder if that streetphone was still sitting around there if Inge pumped it up to 0 dB...
nevertheless, that makes me think of the speakers you are driving with that thing, what are they like, Inge

I use two sets of speakers, namely one of Sony (that came with a complete stereo setup) and one of BNS. Together they give a rather flat and neutral sound (to my great amazement), whereas separated they simply suck. Ofcourse this amplifier is total overkill for my room, but I have been told that the higher the possible output, the higher the stability and definitation of the sound is for this amplifier when played with low volumes.
[o dB would, er, well, even wake you, Lonestar ]
Hence my quest for the holy Infinity speakers. I guess it will be the next electronic toy I'm going to buy.
