That's pretty much the same as pressing Record in a sample editor and waiting till the song is over (VERY annoying in my unregistered days). And then, if you get dropouts, you can spend another hour cutting away the crackles and gaps (most likely in Windows ME

			| "How often have you had to bounce tracks to free up some CPU resource for using just one more VST plug-in? And after that how often have you remove the plug-in in order to tweak some little setting in the already bounced submix?
Now you no longer need to do that. With FX Freeze you can freeze any processor heavy instrument or FX and free up some CPU power with just one mouse click, so that you can use the released horsepower for more FX or increase the effective polyphony of your studio. Now you can use your processor up to 200%, 300% or even more of its effeciency without overloading the system. Any frozen tracks can be returned to their normal state, i.e. unfrozen, with just one mouse click."

			| Just to get your attention: the top of the list free vst plugins has been expanded with a directX effect wrapper that actually works. Finally you'll be able to use your favourite directX only plugins (the entire Waves packages, all soundforge plugins etc) inside MadTracker
  Check out http://vincent.burel.free.fr/download/ffx4_FullDemo.zip
 for this nice surprise

			| That's odd...that one was in the original list, since it's the biggest database around. Tranzity: thank you for mentioning. It has been added

			| Of course: Kvr-vst.

Click instruments in the navigation and you can make your selection.

There are 4 free sampler-loop tools and 6 free sampler/sample players. Of course there's also many more commercial ones.
