Hi,
I know it may be a while for MIDI to get fully coded into Madtracker. But for right now how about a way just to use my SoundFonts or a way to load in Soundfonts to be converted into XI format. |

Now that we have VSTi support, you can use rgcaudio's sfz plugin. It's a VSTi soundfont player.

The sfz is free Only the sfz+ not. It does a great job. Its multitimbral and you can play it like in a midi sequencer. You can assign different sounds to different channels. Own drumkits, sysnths, etc at low cpu use! Its lovely .

Hehe...from the SFZ faq:
Q: I want sfz to play 500 voices in q=72, using 32-bit, taking 64k of memory and in my SBLive.
Can you do that?
A: Of course we can. Actually, we're already shipping a version which does that.
Prices starting as low as $52315. We had to adjust this value due the increased Euro-vs-u$s ratio.
Please drop us a line if you're interested, we'll be shipping one week after receiving your payment.

my sfz does not work correctly.
i got lots of soundfonts (they are workin well in fruity loops),
but all i get with the sfz in madtracker is a simple piano font. iīm not able to switch them...
what should i do to fix it?

Fontaminator and SF-Play 3 at least.
|
Does those two work with SFZ-files or only with SF/SF2-files ?
I've got "normalize"-problems with SFZ, meaning that I get cpu peaks which stops all sound activity for a second.. Irritating as hell..

The good thing about implementing it into madtracker would be that you could use tracker commands to control the soundfont. |
