Hi all,
anyone aware of a freeware program that is able to scale animated gifs without too much problems? Some basic editing functions would also be nice.
Kind regards,

The only program I know of is Adobe ImageReady, and that's far from being freeware.. unless you obtain it via other means... |

No prob.
As for using Flash... Isn't that the program that's a real bitch of a thing to try and get along with?
Y`know, the one you can't use if you don't have the proper government provided training, or the dedication to learning how to use it (at home or college/uni)?

Flash must have been one of the easiest programs to learn the basics of I've ever encountered. The included tutorials are simply great, you have the help which actually is a help. Only area I find it lacking in sometimes is the documentation of actionscript functions. Seriously, if you install flash and go through the tutorials and examples, I mean really go through them and do what they say, not just look at them, then you should be up and running in a couple of hours. |

So where can I get the educational version of Macromedia Flash? Is that around $90-100 USD? |

Jasc AnimationShop is good for logo effects, especially if the text is pre-animated (animated in Flash/SWiSH, then exported to AVI). Adds to the effect of semi-semi-professionalism.
But other than that, I believe that all Jasc programs are useless and should be drugged and sold to McDonalds where they belong.
