Sure!

And yes, the stream will be available as mp3 (or ogg Cool) after the show.

Cool. OGG please. Forget it about patented formats...Smile

Just a question : If all entries are played, and let's say their average length is around 4 minutes, so even without counting in the speeches of the radio host, this would mean a 95 (entries) * 4 (minutes) = 380 minutes = 6 hours & 20 minutes long broadcast...and file.

I think my 1024 kbps line will not be too much to download this !

Only the top-20 will be played. And only the top-10 in full length - the rest will be extracts.

The broadcast will be online afterwards, so you can share the fun eitherway Smile

And yes, postponing one week is for the better. I had to finish my bachelor (done! Very Happy), and haven't been able to make much time due to that for other things. Now there's only my silly computertechwork left, so I got plenty of evenings to work together with Yannick and Patrick Groove to make something more than worth listening. Such a compo (and such entries) deserve nothing less, even if it takes a bit longer.

So stay tuned, or we'll bite your head of.

[okay, that's not a valid argument. oh well. it might convince the younger among us, isn't it?]

Well, if it gets us a better programm, why not.

If it turns out well - and I expect it will - why not thinking off adding interviews of the winners & such stuff for the next year's compo results radio broadcast ?

*bows* Embarassed

Thank you. It doesn't mean much to me (still got two years to go for my master in linguistics), but it's another route that has been finished.

Beatmax: good luck. Finite state machine stuff. Is that like when your machine freezes due to cpu overheating? Smile

Hum. That's actually quite interesting. Yes, that might be okay. Only thing is that we can't tell anyone until the results are finished, which means that the interviews have to be done realtime (which would imply that the winners *have* to listen). Maybe it can be done in combination with Ventrilo or something. Thanks for the input!

Inge: Finite State Machine (information progression), not exactly what you mentioned. Smile Its for logical circuits which will be realised with flip flops. To get the state diagrams is the tough part (at the moment). The rest is quite easy.

Not necessarly. Include some online confidenciality clause in the rules for next year's compo and all should be fine.

So you can tell the winners they won without having them telling the world they did (before the official results are out).

OR... you could always do the radio showcase after the results come out.. so for example - results on saturday - showcase on sunday.
