To make the reviewing easier for the next compo, there will be a pre-selection of the entries. That way only 20 songs or something will have to be fully reviewed.

Surprised very interesting move! so you'd have to qualify for the competition?

indeed, will this pre-selection be a public vote or be a selection made by judges? or haven't you thought that far yet? Smile

Private. I think it's better to keep the entries private until the results. It's more exciting - especially when you broadcast them in a webradio. Cool

A public vote would be cool, although this isn't going to give the best results. Not everyone is going to listen to all the songs and some people aren't impartial.

Maybe "popularity" could be a parameter in the overall score? Wink

but we do agree, you CANNOT have some tracks revied by 5 people then some by 3.

If it wasnt for Novus reviewing my track I would of had a higher score, because he detested it so much, and hey, i know the track was not as tight as it should of been, but it kind of stank when i realised what had happened.

its really strange for you to think that reviewing people differently wouldnt get noticed, its like the worst thing that can happen in a compo because people get upset and feel hard done by.

novus u can kiss my white arse Smile i'll write a new little track for you where the lyrics will repeat indefinetly just for u!

aactually no i'm really pissed off, again just quickly going through the reviews more are just reviewed by yannick, mindplay and sunburster - 3 reviews totally 134 al together equalling a score of 77.67... and mine revied by 5?????

IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!!!!

oh fVck it anyway...

I find it really displaced that you complain the fact that you had 5 reviews (the maximum). Why did you enter the compo if it's not to get reviews? Weren't the reviews useful to you?

I'm happy that you don't read my comments. It makes me feel all special again. Joy! Joy! Let's quote my own work (I love doing that, since I write marvels of the current time):

Quote:
Furthermore, I for myself did listen all entries, and checked the places and actual reviews. If I thought that an outcome was unbalanced, I would add a review. If I thought that the current reviews already said everything worth saying, I wouldn't write a review.

So it could have been three reviews too, but no, friendly poor old Inge did additional reviews to get things more balanced (in his own humble, Gollum-alike opinion).

"oh, thank you reviewers, for five splendid reviews that can help me improve my skills!"

No problem, EM22. Always here for you. Always.

Inge [who, ofcourse, also thinks that all reviewers, himself included, are absolute morons who have no idea at all what they are writing about. Please forgive our pityful mistakes. We're not worthy writing about your music.]

I was suprised and very happy to finish #12. However, since I have an inferiority complex, I get the feeling that I was rather "lucky" in getting the "right" reviewers (Yannick, Inge & Sunbuster).

But again, this could just be my inferiority complex speaking.

Great job on the show, Inge!

I agree with you em22 that in a perfect world there would be an equal amount of reviews for all tracks and an equal amount of talent within all reviewers. In a community this small however that is very hard to achieve.
We rather saw that as many tracks as possible got as many reviews as possible so that the artists would get as much feedback as possible on their tracks, instead of limiting the number of reviews for each song to 2 or 3 in order for each song to have an equal amount of reviews.
I hate to sound this harsh but in your case I would be glad I got five reviews (even though you probably ended up slightly lower in the ranking because of this) and thus got the max amount of feedback on your track, since you wouldn't have come into shooting range of the prizes anyway even if one or two of the reviews were dropped.

Since it is mentioned by Sunbuster, I would like to ask about the prizes:
1. Who win (which ranks) and what?
2. Is there any announcement concerning the prizes?

I mean that I know what the prizes are, but I don't know who took them Smile
