Posted: Fri Aug 20 2004 20:09 VST Bug????? |
 |
Hello to all and hereīs my problem.
If I use a VST instrument like "Edirol Orchestra", channel one, with MT instrument number one, and I try to use MT instrument number two with Orchestras channel two, then I have problems with strings etc.
The sound wonīt stop sometimes!! That makes my crazy!
This bug comes only on "beneath" instruments, so with channel two instruments!
What can I do????
Thanks a lot!
DarkieTheDuck
P.S.: Sorry for my english! |

(hm... something strange is happening to my browser and as a result this may be my second reply to this topic so sorry about that if it was the case )
I have the same problem with Edirol but as far as I know this is not an MT2 bug. I`ve tried it under Renoise and it did the same thing to me so there must be something in Edirol that makes it act like this under trackers.
Though the song itself plays without problems (at least with proper note-offs), after an hour spent with flutes and strings screaming all around I was a bit more restless than usual
(At these times I was longing for a "Panic" button on the main interface of MT2).
So I don`t know what to do either... |

Twice ctrl-f12 should do the trick. It's not a panic button, but it works nicely enough If you got assignable keys on your keyboard, you could in theory even make it a hotkey, which would give you a hardware panic button...definately paint it red to make it more powerful on an emotional scale

Strange enough that it doesn`t help either! The Edirol stuff keeps on playing it`s notes (ok, just after the second ctr+f12 ).
So my only, on an emotional scale highly rated panic button is still the hifi`s power off button |

But if you properly put note-offs (with caps-lock) everything is ok (I mean there will be no remaining sounds after playback, at least if you let mt2 pass note-offs).
Nevertheless I still don't think that this is an MT2 bug tho |

I think so, too.
I had the same problem with Orion Platinum. After the last note, the sound was going on and on.
Maybe it is a VST problem? |
