Gnejsi - One summer night

Evening folks!

Figured it was about time to release something new again, althought a demo Smile

I started this tune in the end of the summer 2003, and during the past months I've been working on it on and off. I'm now at a stage where I want your thoughts on the matter Wink It's a sort of downtempo house/trance tune, chilled with a twist. Made in Madtracker2, additional mix + mastering in Audition 1.0.

the rar's include .ogg files, so you know...

So, rape it, praise it, do what you want, just give me some feedback Wink

haha whooo!!! atmospheric machine sounds and ambient pads! sounds like something aphexy, doesn't it? Razz

again, mr sunbuster made some upbeat proggy house thats likeable.. but i'm really missing some deep end. a deeper bassdrum and some more emphasis on the lower end of the frequencies would be great.. i think thats missing from a lot of your tunes .. or maybe i just dont like trance enough (hee hee) ..

the music and atmosphere is great though, and all the sounds fit in together quite well.. skillfull stuff that would make nick warren proud Wink ..

Cool

Wow, great track! great atmosphere!!!

But I must agree with mikx, the whole rhythm/bass section could be a bit tighter in terms of compression and impact. But only if it is the intention of playing this track to an club audiance.

besides that, great track!

naah, not targeted to the club audience... for home listening Wink But I'll look into the low end, gave it a second listen after reading your comments and I see where you're coming from. The basskick especially is too harsh, I'll see what changing it to something deeper could do Smile

I don't agree. With a deeper kick I think the track would sound to trancy. And in my opinion that wouldn't be a good combination. I kinda like the kick like it is right now, in the background and just giving the track that little extra power. But I agree that there should be something more deep in the track, just can't put my finger on what. Maybe a not to destinct deep sub bass that plays a few notes once and a while Rolling Eyes
