Hi all,

anyone aware of a freeware program that is able to scale animated gifs without too much problems? Some basic editing functions would also be nice.

Kind regards,
Inge

The only program I know of is Adobe ImageReady, and that's far from being freeware.. unless you obtain it via other means... Rolling Eyes

Got it (was packed with my version of Photoshop Smile), but never knew that I could use it for that purpose. Thank you!

No prob. Wink

As for using Flash... Isn't that the program that's a real bitch of a thing to try and get along with?
Y`know, the one you can't use if you don't have the proper government provided training, or the dedication to learning how to use it (at home or college/uni)?

Flash must have been one of the easiest programs to learn the basics of I've ever encountered. The included tutorials are simply great, you have the help which actually is a help. Only area I find it lacking in sometimes is the documentation of actionscript functions. Seriously, if you install flash and go through the tutorials and examples, I mean really go through them and do what they say, not just look at them, then you should be up and running in a couple of hours. So where can I get the educational version of Macromedia Flash? Is that around $90-100 USD?

Jasc AnimationShop is good for logo effects, especially if the text is pre-animated (animated in Flash/SWiSH, then exported to AVI). Adds to the effect of semi-semi-professionalism.

But other than that, I believe that all Jasc programs are useless and should be drugged and sold to McDonalds where they belong.
