How can i improve my CPU power???

When having more vst pluged in, madtracker starts to hang because of the cpu overload.

Is there anyway to improve it or is buying extra memory the only option???

I'm running a P4, 2.4MHZ with 512 DDR and an Audigy 5.1 soundcard

Question

there been several complains about the cpu usage in rc4 so if you are using that version, and if the cpu issue is to great, I would recomend to wait for a new release and use the older rc3 or even mt2.3.2 if you don't want to work with vst's.

and with that setup you really should be able to run quite much.

AMD 64 3200+ / 1024 mb pc3200 ddr memory / nForce 3 250 mainboard and all the latest drivers for all hardware, and I have similar problems. Don't blame your PC, but blame this pre-release of RC4.

Check out these optimizations. Disabling the track EQ also does miracles.
