How to turn of "replace sample"

Hi all

Is there any way to disable the "replace sample feature" Every time I load a new sample to an instrument I want it to automaticly replace the previous sample. I would like to skip the "remplacer" routine which is irritating when trying many different samples to find the right one.

Any help is appreciated Smile

I think it's the "confirm on deleting linked samples" checkbox you need to play with in the general tab of the config.

It doesn't!? Shocked then I'm at loss too... Sad

EDIT: Have you tried this:

create your empty instrument to load samples in, then switch over to the samples tab (where you can select synchronized, keep on disk etc.) in the main window and load samples from there using the load sample dialog (yellow icon). Everytime you want to try a new sample on a certain instrument you just load it this way and it should replace the old sample as the active one in the instrument. Minor problem this way is that you'll end up with a lot of samples in that instrument (but only the latest loaded will be jammable directly using the keyboard), but this you can clean up using madtrackers nifty cleanup function Smile

hope you understood my explanation (I'm a bit tired after a 12h workday), if not let me know and I'll whip up some screenshots of the process Wink
