cant input notes into patterns |

i havent got multi track edit on. i cant input anything into mt2.5 rc3 at all, no notes and no keyboard shortcuts work. any ideas? |

make sure the record button is depressed!
thats the one that has a red circle in it.

what about double checking if the 'multichannel edit' is unchecked in config? i remember that used to cause some grief for a few people.. |

the record button was depressed (thanks for that), and multichannel edit is switched off everywhere but still nothing. |

Are you able to hear the note, but not type it in?
Are you using a midi keyboard or computer keyboard?
Maybe...
Right click the track name to make it red (recordable)
Make sure the pattern is in focus (click the pattern itself)
Make sure the selected instrument has a sample in it, with volume up.
Make sure your cursor is actually in the Note column, not in the volume, pan or FX command columns.
Then again, if no shortcuts work - the problem seems unrelated to MT function itself? |

I had this problem. Try installing the non RC version of MadTracker, then running the RC3 version.
RC4 is better tho. Also make sure you have the RC4 reg files installed if you have RC4, and RC3 reg files for RC3.
The first thing fixed it temporarily tho, but it came back a couple of times, with me having to repeat it. But I've had it running stable for a while now. |
