Well, MT2 WORKS for remixing, but I don't think it's ideal for that. It can't read samples directly from the harddrive, which means that you need a lot of memory so the harddrive don't start to swap memory; cause that will really slow down your whole computer.
MT2 is mainly buildt for composing and producing.

No, it will only not save the sample data in the module, but it will load the sample data into the memory when you load the module; instead of reading it realtime from the harddrive..
