Nobody could help you without a somewhat more detailed description, I afraid.
You should at least tell what version you are using, and in what way it sounds differently other than the volume. Export gain is always 4 it seems, which was mentioned somewhere here in the forum. Also there stil might be problems with some VST.
If you can't describe it, you might post a sample.

Here at MadTracker? If you're using wave export, you hopefully purchased Madtracker legally, so you also can use the web space here.

look for a way to set a higher bitrate(at least 128 or higher) when converting, also you should make sure you are converting to 16 bit mp3 file. These options can most often be altered when saving (save as), though I`m not sure about Cool Edit.

People who are exporting but without the "registered user" tag in forums should be held under close scrutiny.

Lonestar, where are your thumbscrews? We might need some Nazi torture here.

Haveing registered mt has nothing to do with being registered in the forum..So go easy on those thumbscrews LS. Wink

Maybe there should be some indicator like that, then.
On further thought, where actually is the difference between a user and a registered user in the forum, then? Apparently both kinds have registered to the forum somehow as there is a joining date and a profile on both. Hence the assumption above seems logical to me, as well.

Registered users are those that can access the registered users area, and that clicked on the "Forum access (request of access to the registered users only forum)" link. Once you have done that, you will become a registered user in the forum.

Let me get this right... He could not have downloaded his export plugin without accessing the registered users -> personal mt2 files area, but, if accessing the "registered users only forum" is a prerequisite then I guess I'll stand down, as that's really not vital for MT or forum operations.

Correct?

I see. So he could have registered Madtracker, downloaded the wave export and merely had not clicked on that "Forum access"-link yet for some reason.

Is there any particular reason why the registered users forum access isn't automatically granted for users which had registered Madtracker anyway? It seems unlikely that someone doesn't want to have that access.

Sorry to loose ya, Stealth.
Though, try to think of it as "patience training" - Chances are you'll get your freakin' answer with enough time. Razz

EDIT: I saw how long you waited.. Only a couple of days, man, only a couple of days. Some things will take more time to answer, y`know. Wink

Sheesh. After that remark, even if I could help him, I wouldn't.
