I would like to have a script or something that shows how many times a certain link has been clicked on my MadTracker page. It would be intresting to see what songnames that attract most people, and how much my music have been spread around the world! |

Mind you though: MadTracker.net hosting only supports JAVA & PHP, and no CGI. Furthermore, certain files that sometimes necessary for serverside counting (such as .htaccess and alike) are not accessible (and I tried to work around that problem; ask Yannick ).
The most easy solution would be to make your song-download link refer to a new page, which contains
1: the script that the song download starts
2: a counter
You will never get a valid result though: after all, the MP3 has a concrete location, and people can always deeplink to your songs. These downloads are not measurable.
Maybe Yannick has an idea about what the best system for this will be.
