Posted: Sun Jan 23 2005 19:24 Virtual Sampler 2 VSTi and MadTracker question |
 |
Hello there,
I have been playing with MadTracker again. I recently installed my old registered version of Virtual Sampler 2 Pro (VS2) again. I have not upgraded to version 3 yet.
I have some SoundFonts that I still use often (I've bought some from Emu years ago) and wanted to try them in MT2. I opened the VS2 VSTi in MT, imported the SoundFont and saved the bank in the native VS2 bank fileformat. Then I set up VS2 to work in multi-timbral mode (so that it plays different sounds on different MIDI channels) and assign the patches that I want to the correct MIDI channels.
After this, it works great in MT2 and I have encountered no errors while tracking. However, when I saved the module and wanted to quit MT2, I get a dialog from VS2 telling me that the bank was changed and whether changes should be saved. I chose 'Yes' and MT2 quits correctly without any errors.
However when I load the module later in MT2 again, VS2 'forgot' which bank was loaded and the multitimbral settings are not set. So I must manually load the sample bank again and set up the patches.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks for your help! Best regards,
Vincent |
