hmmmm, hi all again, nooby's back, it me ! lol
one question (another) how do i blend notes ? i have an instrument with a sample, i want to play that instrumente many times on a track, but i want it to blend when i play another note, merge smootlhy with that other note, because currently when i change note it "cuts the instrument" sounds awfull, again, one thing i cant find info on, how do i know how long is a sample lenght ? in row matters, like i have a sample and i know shes about 12/13/14 rows lenght, how do i resize it ? make it smaller, or even better, how do i know if shes exactly 12,13,14 rows lenght ? Also, how do i play some notes that are cituated left to c-4 ? i currently can only play stuff thats after c-4, like when i press 'q', or 'm' or 'p', its all past c-4, how do i play notes before those ones ?
gimem a litle help on these 3 problems, being the first and last the most important, if i can learn how to make these 3 stuff's i think i can make a small cool ugly noise bad musik
cheers, noobie guy here wishes great tracking for all of you guys |

- Try looking in the tutorials for NNA ( New Note Actions ) this should help.
- You can't, try it and find out. ( for example if your sample is a drum loop at 120 BPM with 4 beats, and you set your song at 120 BPM it's 4 beats long aswell.
- You mean you haven't tried pressing z-m ?
Listen, some of these problems are realy easy to find out on your own, or just read about it in articles across this site.
Download some tracks of other people here and go and look how it's been build, if you like a certain sound or effect then go and look how it is created, that's the way I learned the whole deal...
Good luck!

i learnt everything on my own years ago with fasttracker,
trial and error and using the help files is probably the
best way to learn
hint try using delay track effect or slide the pitch by
portamento up or down to avoid "cutting the note"
good luck noobian

1: how do i blend notes ? i have an instrument with a sample, i want to play that instrumente many times on a track, but i want it to blend when i play another note, merge smootlhy with that other note, because currently when i change note it "cuts the instrument" sounds awfull,
Use NNA's. Doubleclick on the instrument of which you want to change the 'ending' options, and select (for instance) 'note off' as the NNA setting. In the tab 'envelopes' you can define the properties of the note off.
1: again, one thing i cant find info on, how do i know how long is a sample lenght ? in row matters, like i have a sample and i know shes about 12/13/14 rows lenght, how do i resize it ? make it smaller, or even better, how do i know if shes exactly 12,13,14 rows lenght ?
Use '=' (located under 'caps lock') to cut off a note without using a new one. The length of an actual sample is dependent of its actual length, and the pitch at which it is played.
3: Also, how do i play some notes that are cituated left to c-4 ? i currently can only play stuff thats after c-4, like when i press 'q', or 'm' or 'p', its all past c-4, how do i play notes before those ones ?
Use F1 and F2 to go to lower/higher octaves.
Place your e-mail address here, and I'll send you the updated helpfile. That should help heaps for people like you.
