Posted: Sun Mar 20 2005 14:36 Sending midi program change to vsti (farbrausch) |
 |
Greetings.
A friend needs me to make a tune using only the Farbrausch vsti ( http://www.madtracker.org/plugins.php?author=Farbrausch ). With this vsti I can export (using its own record function) to its own format and so my friend will have the tune in the intro he's making for tg05. I think deadline is Thursday or something, so I'm in a bit of hurry. anyways...
This vsti is multitimbral, and what I need is someway to send midi program change signals to it on the different midi channels.
I have loaded one copy of the vsti in madtracker. Then made different instruments using it on different midi channels. This works. On the instrument properties, I can also choose program along with channel, but the Farbrausch does not respond to this.
If anyone has any ideas at all, they're all very very welcome.
Thanks in advance. |

I'm afraid there isn't any immediate solution.
A solution would be that I make a pattern command to change the MIDI program.
The way V2 works is a bit uncommon and very MIDI-oriented.
One workaround that might work is that you prepare all your instruments and sequences and then export as MIDI and specify the programs you want per instrument.
If you import the MIDI in, let's say, Cubase, you should be able to play the sequence with V2 and have it export properly.
