 |
Hey everybody, I searched everywhere and couldn't find a topic on this already (although it's not an easy one to search for)...
I've been messing around listening to samples and instruments in MadTracker, but over time, static starts to pop into the sound and eventually they all come out sounding horrible and garbled. I have to close MT and restart. Is there some buffer that's not clearing? I'm using the current release of 2.5. |

Have you tried adjusting your buffer settings? |

yeah i have a similar problem with vsts sometimes,
i think my problem is too little RAM (physical memory) because windows (xp) keeps complaining about my virtual memory cache being too low to run stuff...
p.s i got 128mb ram
how much you got? |

Make sure you don't have the "accurate device" checked in the audio config of MT.

I've got 1 GB (new computer, woo hoo!), so that's one reason I was befuddled.
I've reduced the buffer size *and* unchecked the 'accurate device' setting, and it seems to be working really well now. Thanks! |

Ive had a 1gb pc for a long time and still MT kinda loses sync now and then, just go into the setup and reset the latency.
It windows which is shit, it will never truley multitask like our beloved Amiga.
Boy, if Amiga were still going and produding computers, MT on that format would rock the socks off us. I hate windows and hate having to work within its confinments. I really wish there was an option in MT to take control of the screen fully so I could zone in like i used to.....
