Controlling playback with MIDI?

Hey all,

I use MT a lot for my U2 coverband as a sequencer. It acts as the 5th member of the band by filling up certain sounds.

I wonder if it's possible to control the playback of MT by midi triggers? For instance: loop one pattern forever, until MT receives a certain (midi) trigger (which, as a drummer, I would trigger by hitting a drumpad or so) to jump to the next pattern? Things like that would give us more space as a band to improvise on stage. Now we are forced to play the songs exactly as I programmed them in MT.

I hope anyone understands what I mean Wink and can help me Smile

Thnx,

Ben

Right now you can only tell MT to play, play pattern, stop, etc. But not for a specific pattern.
But if your patterns are placed sequentially, it can work. Tell MT to play, and when it reaches the pattern that should be looped, hit the key corresponding to "play pattern" and before it should leave the loop hit the key for "play".

Sounds great to me. One more question then: how do you tell MT to play via a midi trigger (I can't hit the "enter" button with a drumstick Wink )

Check the MIDI tab of the MT configuration window. Wink
