MT 2.5 final can't play easily

I use a Celeron 650Mhz, 64Mb RAM
I've just installed the latest version and it seems the CPU is always overloaded when i try to play modules using VST. Sometimes it happens even with my old modules and the result is that it plays no sound anymore....and then it's very hard to make mt play again

Maybe the minimum requirements should be revisited...

bye,
francesco

p.s. it would be great to have a linux porting... it's someway possible?

if you want to use vst plugins, buy a new pc Smile

min. is a 1/2ghz+ cpu and atleast 1 GB of ram to keep things running smoothly.

The min. req. of madtracker aply to the use of samples and some buildin effects...

I have 256mb RAM and an 800Mhz processor. It can sometimes seize-up for me too. You need more ram and a new processor Razz (so do I).

ok thanks
i run it under wine on linux (2GHz, 512Mb RAM) and it's almost ok but VST is unusable. That's my configuration or wine limit?

My guess would be Wine, `cause my configuration is similar to yours (AMD 1900+/512MB) and I have no problems running VSTs.
